She is Lady Khadijah bint Khuylid bin Asad bin Abd al-Uzza bin Qusayy bin Kilab bin Mudar bin Fihr.

Thus, Lady Khadijah shares her lineage with the great Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family) through their common ancestor, Qusayy.

The Status of Lady Khadijah (Peace Be Upon Her):

It is unanimously agreed by everyone that Lady Khadijah (peace be upon her) s the best of the women of the Prophet (peace be upon him and his family), as declared by the Prophet himself (peace be upon him and his family) on more than one occasion. This clearly indicates her high status and noble rank (peace be upon her).

Aisha narrated: "Whenever the Prophet (peace be upon him and his family) mentioned Khadijah, he never g tired of praising her and seeking forgiveness for her. One day, he mentioned her, and I became jealous, saying: 'Indeed, Allah has replaced you with a woman of old age!'"

Aisha continued: "I saw the Prophet (peace be upon him and his family) become very angry, and I regretted what I had said. I prayed: 'O Allah, if You remove the anger of Your Messenger (peace be upon him and his family), I will never speak ill of her again.'"

She said: "When the Prophet (peace be upon him and his family) saw what I had gone through, he asked: 'What did you say?' And he added: 'By Allah, she believed in me when the people disbelieved, supported me when others rejected me, testified to my tth when they lied about me, and gave me children when you were barren.'"

Furthermore, there are many other signs that indicate the high rank of Lady Khadijah (peace be upon her). Some of them are mentioned below:
    1. Her Selection by Allah: Allah chose her from among the women.

Abu al-Hasan al-Awl (peace be upon him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his family) said: "Indeed, Allah chose four women from among all women: Maryam (Mary), Asiya, Khadijah, and Fatimah." (2)
    2. She Was the First Woman to Embrace Islam: She s the first to believe in the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family) and s the first to pray behind him (peace be upon him and his family).

Al-Afif narrated: "I s a merchant who came to Mecca during the days of Hajj. Abbas ibn Abdul-Muttalib s also a merchant. I approached him to buy from him and sell. As we were talking, a man emerged from behind a curtain and stood facing the Ka'bah to pray. Then a woman came out and prayed with him, and a young boy joined them. I said to Abbas: 'What is this religion? We don’t know about it.'"

Abbas replied: "This is Muhammad ibn Abdullah who claims that Allah sent him, and that the treasures of Kisra and Caesar are opening up to him. This is his wife, Khadijah bint Khuylid, who believes in him. And this young man, Ali ibn Abi Talib, also believes in him." (4)
    3. Special Greeting from Allah: Allah honored Lady Khadijah (peace be upon her) by sending her greetings.

It s narrated that Jibril (Gabriel) came to the Prophet (peace be upon him and his family) and asked about Khadijah. When she s not there, Jibril said: "When she comes, inform her that her Lord sends her peace."

Another narration states that Jibril came to the Prophet (peace be upon him and his family) and said: "This is Khadijah coming to you with a covered container, either food, drink, or something else. When she arrives, greet her on behalf of her Lord and myself, and tell her that she will have a house in Paradise made of pearls, with no noise or fatigue." (7)
    4. Glad Tidings of a Noble House in Paradise: As mentioned in the hadith above, Lady Khadijah s promised a grand home in Paradise.
    5. The Prophet's Praise of Lady Khadijah (Peace Be Upon Her): The Prophet (peace be upon him and his family) frequently praised her, as seen in Aisha's narration.

Moreover, Lady Khadijah (peace be upon her) held a very special place in the heart of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family). He loved her deeply, cherished her, and appreciated her dignified stance. The evidence for this is abundant, including:

An elderly woman entered the presence of the Prophet (peace be upon him and his family), and he treated her kindly. When she left, Aisha asked him: "Who s that woman?" He replied: "She used to visit us during Khadijah's time, and honoring the old is a sign of faith." (8)

Ali ibn Abi Talib (peace be upon him) said: "One day, the Prophet (peace be upon him and his family) mentioned Khadijah while he s with his wives and cried. Aisha asked: 'Why are you crying over an old woman from the tribe of Banu Asad?'"

The Prophet (peace be upon him and his family) replied: "She believed in me when you all disbelieved, supported me when you all rejected me, and gave me children when none of you did."

Aisha replied: "From then on, I tried to gain favor with the Prophet (peace be upon him and his family) by mentioning Khadijah." (9)

When Lady Khadijah (peace be upon her) passed ay, Fatimah (peace be upon her) would often cling to her father, the Prophet (peace be upon him and his family), and say: "O Father, where is my mother?"

Jibril (peace be upon him) descended and said: "Your Lord commands you to send greetings to Fatimah and inform her that her mother is in a house made of pearls, with gold lls, and red by pillars, situated between Asiya and Maryam." Fatimah (peace be upon her) replied: "Indeed, Allah is Peace, and from Him comes peace, and to Him we return." (10)

Abdurrahman ibn Maimun narrated from his father, saying: "I heard Ibn Abbas say: 'The first to believe in the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his family) among the men s Ali (peace be upon him), and among the women s Khadijah (peace be upon her).'" (11)

Indeed, the Prophet (peace be upon him and his family) called the year of Lady Khadijah’s passing "The Year of Sorrow," as this year also marked the passing of Abu Talib (peace be upon him). This is a clear indication of the high esteem in which he held both of them. (12)
