We extend our condolences to the Imam of our time, the Master of the Age (may Allah hasten his reappearance), and to the Leader during his occultation, Imam Khamenei (may his shadow be prolonged), on the anniversary of the martyrdom of the Truthful Lady, al-Zahra (peace be upon her), on the third of Jumada al-Than
The Prophetic Preparation for Fatimah’s Role (peace be upon her)
The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) directed minds, hearts, and attention to the lofty position of Fatimah (peace be upon her) and to her exalted role in the movement of the Divine Message. Her opinions and stances were meant to serve as a standard for judging the positions of others whenever concepts became confused and truths were obscured.
This guidance was not out of mere paternal affection, for the Prophet (peace be upon him and his family) never spoke or acted except by command of Allah, the Exalted.
He highlighted her noble rank, saying:

He highlighted her noble rank, saying:
“The best of the women of all worlds are four: Mary, Asiya, Khadijah, and Fatimah.”
He equated harming her with harming himself, saying:
“Fatimah is a part of me; whoever harms her, harms me, and whoever angers her, angers me.”
He also made her pleasure and displeasure a reflection of Allah’s pleasure and displeasure, saying:
“Indeed, Allah is pleased for your pleasure and angered for your anger.”
When the Prophet (peace be upon him and his family) returned from battle or travel, he would first go to the mosque and perform two units of prayer, then visit Fatimah, and then his wives.
Ibn ʿUmar narrated:
“When the Prophet (peace be upon him and his family) set out on a journey, the last person he would bid farewell to was Fatimah, and when he returned, the first person he would visit was Fatimah.”
For six months, whenever he went out for the dawn prayer, he would pass by her house and call out:
“Prayer, O People of the Household!” — and he would recite the verse of purification.
The Prophet’s Foretelling of the Oppression of al-Zahra (peace be upon her)
In a long narration about the oppression of the Prophet’s Household (peace be upon them), the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his family) said:
In a long narration about the oppression of the Prophet’s Household (peace be upon them), the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his family) said:
“As for my daughter Fatimah, she is the Mistress of the women of all worlds, from the first to the last. She is a part of me, the light of my eyes, the fruit of my heart, and the spirit between my sides. She is the heavenly houri in human form. Whenever she stands in her prayer niche before her Lord, exalted is He, her light shines for the inhabitants of the heavens as the stars shine for the people of the earth. Allah, Mighty and Majestic, says to His angels:
‘O My angels, look upon My servant Fatimah, the Mistress of My maidservants, standing before Me, trembling in awe of Me, turning her heart entirely toward My worship. I bear witness before you that I have granted security from the Fire to her followers.’”

The Prophet (peace be upon him and his family) continued:
“When I look upon her, I remember what will be done to her after me — as though I see humiliation entering her house, her inheritance withheld, her side broken, and her unborn child miscarried. She will cry out, ‘O Father, O Messenger of Allah!’ but will not be answered. She will seek help, yet no help will come. She will remain sorrowful, grief-stricken, and tearful — remembering once the severance of divine revelation from her home, and again my separation. At night, she will feel desolate, longing for the sound of my voice that she would hear when I recited the Qur’an in prayer. Then she will see herself humiliated after having been honored during her father’s lifetime.
At that time, Allah, the Exalted, will console her through the angels, who will call to her with the same words they spoke to Mary, daughter of ʿImran:
‘O Fatimah, indeed Allah has chosen you, purified you, and chosen you above the women of the worlds. O Fatimah, be devout to your Lord, prostrate, and bow with those who bow.’
‘O Fatimah, indeed Allah has chosen you, purified you, and chosen you above the women of the worlds. O Fatimah, be devout to your Lord, prostrate, and bow with those who bow.’
Then illness will overtake her, and Allah will send Mary, daughter of ʿImran, to nurse her and comfort her during her sickness. She will say: ‘My Lord, I have grown weary of life and disgusted with the people of this world; join me with my father.’ So Allah, the Exalted, will take her soul and unite her with me. She will be the first of my family to join me. She will come to me sorrowful, distressed, oppressed, and martyred.”
At that, the Prophet (peace be upon him and his family) said:
“O Allah, curse those who wronged her, punish those who usurped her right, humiliate those who humiliated her, and eternally damn the one who struck her unborn child until she miscarried. And the angels will say: Ameen.”
And our final prayer is: All praise is due to Allah, Lord of the worlds.
